An experienced entrepreneur with extensive networking and business marketing expertise, in 2005, Sue single- handedly founded the Wellness Networking Group. Sue conceived of the idea to promote a spirit of cooperation vs. competition in the health and wellness industry as a way of uniting professionals around a supportive community dynamic. Sue passionately enjoys the process of hiring speakers, co-creating workshops and organizing meetings. Twice a year, Sue hosts the Living, Loving and Learning workshop series. The Women’s Wellness Networking Meetup is both a personal and professional networking group exclusively for Women. This monthly group has provided a win-win environment for members to cross-promote their businesses, share resources, provide referrals and uplift the professional community in an inspirational way.
Sue Waldman has provided consultative expertise to various types of businesses needing to develop their professional practices. Sue has worked as a Business Mentor Coach for iPEC, (Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching) where she trained and mentored newly certified coaches and guided them to utilizing effective start-up business building techniques. Sue also contributed to iPEC’s strategic planning, training, sales, business development and promotional efforts.
With transformation as the emphasis of her work, Sue has designed a number of successful personal and professional programs that assist clients and organizations in transition. Ms. Waldman was sought out by the Bermuda Board of Tourism to create and execute an intensive career counseling plan for downsized and displaced employees following a mass corporate lay-off. For her peers in coaching and counseling, like the NJ Counseling Association, Sue has developed and conducted motivational lectures and workshops. In her role as an educator, she has had the distinction of being an Adjunct Professor of psychology for five universities: Montclair State University, Fairleigh Dickinson University, William Paterson University, Bloomfield College, and Berkeley College.
To balance her hands-on coaching, consulting and counseling experience, Sue Waldman also has a managerial background as Program Director for the Family Advocacy Support Team of the Mental Health Association in NJ. Sue hired, trained & supervised “on call” staff and directed home support services for families referred by CPS. Working as a Consultant for the Family Service League, Sue created the Youth Mentoring Program and was responsible for volunteer selection, training and psychological assessments.
Sue Waldman is a contributing author in Big, Bold, Business Advice (Woodpecker Press, 2015). Her chapter is on the art of being a professional – “Eight Personal Power Strategies for Success”. Ms. Waldman co-authored her first chapter for Woodpecker Press, which was published in 2012. Her chapter is titled “Don’t Stop Believing In Yourself."
