About

Sherita Brown-Mims

I am a resident of Louisiana where I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor. I have been providing counseling services as a licensed practitioner since 2015.
I provide services which include treatment of addiction, behavioral, emotional, and mental disorders to individuals, groups, families, and organizations. I employ principles, methods, and procedures that are delivered in a nonjudgmental, compassionate, confidential, and safe space.
I primarily approach therapy from a cognitive-behavioral perspective in that patterns of thoughts and actions are explored to better understand the clients’ problems and to develop solutions. However, I often integrate theoretical approaches to better understand aspects of the clients’ problems for effectual treatment matching. The nature of the client’s presenting problem and the clients’ preference will determine the techniques used. I serve clients regardless of their race, national origin, color, creed, religion, gender, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or associational preference.
Unmanageable symptoms such as anxiety, stress, grief, depression, and other issues can be a reality for many individuals, couples, and families. Together we can plan for and achieve success through therapy, helping you find new peace.
