Andrea E. Stevenson
Greetings! Is your anger becoming destructive and unmanageable, causing problems to your health or relationships? Are you becoming attached to things or to people who are toxic to your present well-being? Are you often weighed down with feelings of recurring traumatic events, regret, loneliness, guilt, depression or grief? Together we can work on moving you from troublesome thoughts and situations to transform your life to a more meaningful and hope filled place. I provide a safe non-judgmental and empathetic nature to put you at ease. I have been blessed to earn a degree and licensure in Addictions Specialist (LCAS), and returned to school at age 47, and earned a MSW and Clinical Licensure as a Social Worker. Some of the difficulties in my family of origin naturally led to my choice of the helping profession, along with my gifts of compassion and sensitivity.
My modality to treating most difficult conditions is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, along with the use of a client directed approach focusing on your strengths and resources. Evidenced based practices using my clinical expertise is a nice blend for an effective therapeutic alliance. Also motivational Interviewing, emotionally focused therapy narrative and bibliotherapy are other treatment interventions used depending on your needs.
