Renisha Oubre

Renisha Oubre

I am a school counselor, mental health counselor, and an LPC with nine years of experience. My clientele ranges from children to adults, and their backgrounds are very diverse. I approach counseling from a client-centered perspective in which I take a nondirective role. I want to listen and understand from your point of view. I will respect and protect your autonomy and self-direction. If I am unsure about anything, I will check for understanding with you. Counseling is a collaborative process and you, the client, are a full partner in this relationship.
I expect you to be honest and open, and have a sincere desire to change in order to maximize the benefits of each counseling session. As we work together and you have any suggestions or concerns about counseling, I expect you to share these with me so that we can make any necessary adjustments needed. I look forward to working with you!
