In my opinion, there is nothing more powerful than authentic human connection. The connection built between therapist and client has the ability to foster immense change and growth. As a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist I feel truly honored to be trusted with this responsibility and want nothing more than to create a safe space for my clients to share their stories.
I feel passionate about my work with addiction, but have also learned that it is merely a symptom of some underlying issue. Trauma, abuse, low self-esteem, anxiety, and depression can all lead to some form of self-medication. It then becomes the goal of therapy to work together to engage new, healthier coping skills.
I completed my undergraduate studies in psychology from California State University, Northridge and went on to earn my Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles. Beginning in August of 2017 I began working towards a Ph.D. in Humanistic Psychology. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#96365) with the California State Board of Behavioral Sciences and a member of the California Association of Marriage & Family Therapists.
I incorporate CBT, seeking safety, mindfulness
