You’ve come here because you want to know how I am qualified to help you. Well, let’s start with the real deal. I am qualified because I have been there. I’ve been exactly where you are. My career spans over 15 years helping teens and emerging adults find the joy in their lives. My skill set and experience is best suited for college-aged and young adult professionals of color between the ages of 18-40 years old who are dealing with anxiety, racial-based traumatic stress from the workplace or academic environment and issues surrounding life transitions. My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming. I started out as a sexuality educator and trainer at Planned Parenthood of NYC, Inc. and then went on to pursue a second graduate degree in clinical social work. I’ve worked in schools, churches, community organizations…you name it, I’ve been there. I really enjoy working with treatment modalities that have a mindfulness component to it. I use what is most helpful to you and draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Somatic Experiencing and Mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in treatment. As a Registered Yoga (200 hr) and Mindfulness Teacher, I also support my clients by teaching them skills to help them find the peace within the storm. I look forward to working with you!
