Stacey Pacouloute is a licensed clinical social worker in South Florida. She received her MSW degree from the Ellen Whiteside McDonnell School of Social Work at Barry University in Miami Shores, FL. Stacey has over a decade worth of experience in a variety of settings and with diverse clients, including both long-term and brief interventions. She provides psychotherapy for individuals, couples, families, and groups- utilizing cognitive behavioral, humanistic, and psychodynamic therapies. Stacey has an extensive background as a social worker and case management working in public schools, social services, home health, and behavioral health agencies where she learned to be a strong advocate for her clients. These clients have included: chronically mentally ill children and adults, at risk elderly and disabled, children with special needs, phase of life changes, grief, and loss, life stresses and next steps. Other special interests include bereavement therapy, trauma, life transitions, spirituality, and maternal mental health. There are so many changes that happen as families grow and develop with the passing years, and Stacey is here to help with these transitions. Stacey believes that change happens when people are given the guidance they need to draw on their own strengths and realize their potential to live fulfilling, happy lives. Stacey provides an environment of compassion and support to help individuals and families overcome obstacles to move forward and thrive. Stacey takes primarily a person-centered view of psychotherapy and tries to honor each individual's unique characteristics and strengths. As a therapist whose clients have spanned all age groups, from birth to seniors, two of her guiding principles are to “start where the client is” and that “change is good”.
