Stacey L. Olden
Hello, my name is Stacey Olden, and I am a licensed professional counselor in both South Carolina and North Carolina. I am also a clinical supervisor and university instructor who has been providing social services to marginalized populations for over two decades. I have a master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling, and I am currently a PhD candidate in counselor education and supervision, where I am working on a dissertation study related to training counselors to be social justice advocates and reducing the racial disparities in mental health.
I am the founder and Executive Director of New Visions Wellness Center (NVWC). Our mission is to educate, encourage, and empower individuals and improve the educational, mental, and economic status of marginalized communities. NVWC operates a tele mental health (TMH) counseling and training clinic. The TMH clinic seeks to raise awareness, decrease stigma, and increase utilization of mental health services in marginalized communities.
I am passionate about providing culturally responsive services from a social justice perspective. I am client-centered, and I take a holistic approach to treatment. I am dedicated to helping individuals reach overall mental and emotional wellness. I enjoy helping others navigate through difficulties and challenges in life, and I work with individuals to develop a plan of action to overcome obstacles and achieve goals. I would love to help you on your journey to wellness!
