Sahar Muhsin Laufman
Master of Arts in Social Change scholar and counselor, Sahar Muhsin Laufman, is a multi-culturally competent counseling specialist and will include social justice initiatives to meet real life needs alongside the psychological relief from talk therapy. Their approach incorporates unconditional positive regard, and trauma stewardship. Diagnosing and treating harmful psychological effects of trauma (Intergenerational trauma, PTSD, post traumatic growth, cumulative effect of microagressions etc.) Treatment is done in part through the incorporation of somatic exercises. They are also trained in family therapy based in Bowen’s emotional nuclear systems theory. Finally they are adept at pastoral counseling and spiritual direction through a Multireligious Masters in Divinity, so as requested spiritual and religious analysis can be incorporated into the counseling practice.
