Life happens – abuse, divorce, painful childhood issues, betrayal and more. These issues can make us feel as though “life is too hard.” Help is here.
When we deal with life’s issues, sometimes we think and feel very negatively about ourselves. Thoughts such as “I don’t deserve love” or “I’m not good enough” or “I should be punished” emotionally beat us down. I help clients learn to examine those negative core beliefs and learn how they came to exist. They learn that those thoughts are actually not true and change them to healthy positive thoughts. Clients also learn how to use poor decisions and mistakes as opportunities to learn lessons and gain wisdom. This sounds easier than the work that it takes, but you are worth the time and the effort. Modalities: Supportive Psychotherapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Narrative Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Specialties: Trauma and abuse License: Georgia LPC005394
