Rana Shokeh is a psychotherapist in NYC. She obtained her masters degree in clinical social work with an emphasis in mental health from Hunter College School of Social Work and her bachelors’ degrees from University of California, San Diego. She has also completed a one-year intensive psychotherapy program at the Institute for the Psychoanalytic Study of Subjectivity (IPSS). Rana is bilingual in both Arabic and English. She specializes in trauma, depression, women's issues, race/ gender/sexuality, and issues around immigration/acculturation. Majority of her experiences come from working with minority communities such as LGBTQ, immigrant and migrant communities, and refugees. She has worked in traditional settings and refugee camps with youth, women, and families.
