Paul was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. Growing up in an immigrant family from Viet Nam, Paul experienced first hand the impact of mental health with family, relatives, and friends who lived through war and violence.

Paul has worked extensively with clients who deal with anxiety, depression, addiction, relationship, stress, trauma, career, identity, marriage, parenting, sleep, and other related issues.
His counseling style is empathetic, sensitive, patient, relatable, insightful, and proactive. Paul has a deep seated interest to helping people create, develop, and nurture solutions to their problems. He is action oriented in as much as being able to move along the pace and style of what works best for each client. Paul believes in the metaphor of building and strengthening one’s “mental and emotional muscle” through an engaged and holistic approach.
In his spare time, Paul is throughly involved in creative & cultural communities in his hometown of Pittsburgh. He loves traveling the world. He enjoys cooking and considers himself a Flexaterian. He organizes cultural & musical events in his city. Paul has experience as a dj and vinyl collector of soul, jazz, funk, reggae, hip hop, and electronic music for 25 years. He loves making, filming, editing documentary films. He’s a martial arts student and instructor for over 13 years. He loves to sleep when he can.
