Khadija Salim

It is my belief that through compassion, non-judgment, education, and advocacy that individuals can gain emotional healing and freedom. I am passionate about working with individuals seeking healing from trauma, anxiety, and substance abuse. Additionally, I am equally passionate about exploring how culture and racial/ethnic identity play a role within the different facets of your life. I enjoy working collaboratively to establish and meet counseling goals, while nourishing resiliency, self-acceptance and awareness.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) trainer, certified Master Neuro-Linguistic Programmer (NLP), and a Certified Consulting Hypnotist. My theoretical framework is rooted in mindfulness while also using integrative techniques to empower clients to navigate through life’s challenges.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Pennsylvania State University and my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Kutztown University. My growth as a clinician continues through attending seminars, workshops, continued education, research, as well as my ongoing work with my clients.
