James Randall Harrison
Hello, my name is James Harrison and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 12 years of experience bringing knowledge from a broad range of mental health settings including; adult outpatient clinics; schools for children with special needs; adult residential treatment facilities; foster care and adoption centers; and family preservation agencies. My work has also included individual therapy, community-based therapy, directing medication management facilities, and supporting group homes (locally and out-of-state) with the purpose of meeting clients where they are.
The essence of my approach is warm and genuinely focused on facilitating, identifying, and assisting clients address goals that are meaningful to them. I take into consideration the person's identity, culture, traditions, and relationships they have established to match them with the best theoretical approach. The work I do with clients is guided by a practice of being courageous, compassionate, and person-centered. My intention is to move at your pace to build a valuable connection, so that you can receive the support you're seeking.
