Gidai Maaza is a Fresno-based mental health professional with an emphasis on counseling elementary aged children, adolescents, and late adolescents.
Gidai strives to bring an effective blend of experience, clarity, empathy and action to the counseling process in order to experience beneficial outcomes and provide authentic healing and wholeness to individuals, families, and communities.
Gidai has over 10 years’ experience in counseling with a wide range of clients in a variety of treatment settings. These include providing counseling under various nonprofit agencies serving prenatal to young adult mental health, addiction work with
the Salvation Army Fresno, clients diagnosed w/ emotional disturbance via an I.E.P, and at the University level providing staff/student mental health services.
Gidai is a firm believer in the holistic approach that it takes a village to heal all individuals seeking counseling. In addition to the above mentioned specialties, Gidai continues to collaborate with various local social
service agencies in order to provide best practices care to the whole person.
