Dr. Rebecca Jedel
Rebecca L. Jedel, PhD
As a clinical psychologist, I have over 30 years of experience helping diverse individuals, families and children build upon their own internal resources to manage the challenges in their lives. I work to understand the current supports available to my clients, which will help them resolve concerns in the most positive and sustainable means possible. This systems, strength-based perspective helps decrease symptoms, improve relationships, and build resiliency.
In addition to maintaining a private practice, I have been a clinical supervisor for graduate students and on the adjunct faculty for universities in the San Francisco Bay Area of California. My approach to treatment has been developed from a Family Systems perspective, with the liberal application of methods from CBT, ACT and other evidence-based practices.
I had a cross-country education, having grown up in Texas and Oklahoma, studied developmental psychology at Ohio State University and received my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from DePaul University in Chicago. I’ve lived in California for the past 25 years, loving the energy and vibrancy in the diversity of the of the Bay Area. My passions include food (eating not cooking J), reading junk fantasy novels to literary fiction, hanging out with family, friends and my dog, traveling, and cake decorating.
