Dr. Kahina A. Louis
Dr. Louis is a Licensed Psychologist in her home state of Florida. She graduated with honors, cum laude,
from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, alongside a minor in Education. Dr. Louis became a two-time “Gator” graduate after earning a Master of Science in Health Education and Behavior at the same institution. With drive and passion to gain more knowledge to better serve her community, Dr. Louis matriculated at the renowned Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP) at Rutgers University. There, she received her Master of Psychology degree and began teaching
to students in the field, as well as presenting at regional and national conferences. She culminated her education at Rutgers, earning her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, with a concentration in Multicultural Psychology. Dr. Louis specializes in adult therapy using strengths-based and solutions-focused approaches to enhance clarity and adaptive outlook in the wake of challenges, such as depression, anxiety, and stress management.
I use primarily CBT, though I am well-versed in psychodynamic and family systems modalities. I additionally integrate strengths-based and solutions-focused techniques into my work.
Depression, anxiety, and stress management are my main specialities. I also have honed in on working with millennial women, though I continue to serve all genders and adult ages.
