Dr. Jacqueline Guevara
Dr. Jacqueline Guevara is a Washington D.C. native who is passionate about serving others and providing much needed hope during some of the most difficult times in a person's life. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Virginia and currently runs a successful online mental health private practice. She is also passionate about helping guide future change agents and teaches various social work courses for the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) in their Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work programs. She obtained a bachelor degree in Psychology from George Mason University and a master degree in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh. In 2018, she obtained a Doctor of Social Work (DSW) from the University of Southern California in Leadership and Advanced Management Practices.
With over 10 years of experience, Dr. Guevara uses her knowledge and advanced training in various evidenced based modalities to serve some of the most vulnerable populations. Jacqueline specializes in trauma and substance abuse as well as has extensive experience in working with depression, anxiety, and acculturative stress. As a clinician, Dr. Guevara feels that it is her job to help you get your life back while creating a safe space for you to grow. She works with you to not only understand your depression, anxiety, drug abuse, or daily stress, but to also learn ways to manage it effectively. This healing journey won't be easy, but in working together she believes you can tap into your greatest potential and help you live the life you deserve.
