I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California. I have over 7 years of experience working with women, men, couples, adolescents and teenagers, and families. My work experience ranges from helping individuals on issues of anxiety, depression, career transitions, self-esteem, substance abuse and addiction, intimacy in relationships, sexuality, gender identity development, grief/loss, and trauma. I have a passion and calling to work with LGBTQI+ individuals and people of color and those experiencing different forms of oppression, including cultural, racial, sexism, ageism, sizeism, nativism, ableism, heterosexism, colorism, and cisgenderism. I strive to make space for individuals who experience challenges and barriers around defining one's identity that differs from historical, societal, familial, cultural, racial beliefs and stereotypes (e.g. how men experience, process, express, and cope with emotions that challenge the varying levels of the status quo). I believe in the healing alchemy of the therapeutic relationship to ignite one’s ability to move past internal blocks and step into the realm of self-acceptance and self-empowerment. My expertise and specialties are in Art Therapy interventions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Mindfulness-based interventions, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT).My style of therapy is collaborative, empathetic, non-judgmental, compassionate, and authentic. I have a client-centered and gender-responsive approach where together we will work on creating and developing a container for safety, healing, and transformation. If you feel that you are in a place of stagnation and in search of direction, meaning, and self-empowerment, I invite and welcome the opportunity to assist you along your journey.
