Amber is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist that earned her degree from the California Institute of Integral Studies. She is born and raised in the Bay Area and identifies as a mixed heritage (Mexicanx, Filipinx), Queer, Woman of Color. Her office is located in Oakland, California, and is utilizes Somatics and Attachment focused psychotherapy. She has advanced training supporting clients that identify with the LGBTQQI2SA/Queer & Trans/GNC/Non-Binary communities, Poly/Non-Monogamous Addiction & Recovery community, Women of Color, Activist communities, and folks (re)centering indigenous healing/spiritual communities. She specialize in supporting those who experience vicarious trauma, oppression in many forms, and sexual trauma; including, childhood sexual abuse, sexual assault, sexual harassment, and sexual exploitation. Ancestral connections, plant medicine, and healing through re-centering around indigenous medicine has been a profound tool for her during my own healing journey and has sustained her work in community. She believes these intersections allow her to bring her passion for wellness and healing, my commitment to social justice & equity, her love for community, and dedication to teaching to her work as a therapist.
